WORKSHOP - GEARS & DERAILLEURS

Why do bikes have gears and what gears should I use when I ride? This class will focus on derailleurs and how you can fine-tune them so your drive-train will perform without any glitches.

WORKSHOP - BRAKE MAINTENANCE

Brakes are essential for any bike, in order to have good and reliable braking leverage, there are a bunch of things to look out for. This a class that will help you understand how different brakes work and how to adjust and maintain them.

*Attendees must bring their own bikes to class. This class will focus mainly on brakes that are cable actuated, not hydraulic brakes.

WORKSHOP - BEARING ADJUSTMENT/WHEEL TRUING

Why does my wheel wobble left and right? This class zeroes in on bearing adjustments for your hubs, bottom bracket, headset and so on. Wheel truing is one of the more exciting repairs to do and this class will help you understand the basics of truing laterally (left and right) and vertically (up and down).

*Attendees must bring their own bikes to class. Wheel-building will not be taught in this workshop.

WORKSHOP - BASIC MAINTENANCE/FLAT FIXES

This is an introductory class focusing on the basic maintenance of your bicycle. Instructor(s) will zero in on the common issues that you should look out for and what to do in certain situations. This class will help you understand how things work and how to fix one of the most common problems cyclists face: flats! 

*Space is limited to a handful of people per workshop, if a particular date is filled up, the Kayuh Crew will reschedule you for the next workshop. 

*Attendees must bring their own bikes to class. Flat fixes will focus on wheels that take clincher tires, not tubulars or tubeless. Other types of flat fixes will be taught in a separate class.
